Rabies is a dangerous virus that can cause serious health issues in humans. The disease is transmitted into the human body through an animal bite. The usual carrier of this virus are dogs, bats, foxes, raccoons, etc. Also, some pets or domestic animals like cats, dogs, cows, horses, goats, and ferrets can cause this problem.

 Causes

A few domestic and wild animals carry the rabies virus within their saliva. For a successful infestation, the animal saliva has to mix into the human bloodstream or inside the human body. It generally occurs upon having a bite from the animal. Though, it is also possible that the human might have an existing wound or exposure and the previously affected animal licks that open-wound.

Symptoms

Generally, rabies appears with a lot of problems. The primary complications are fever, headache, nausea, and vomiting. Later the patient goes through headaches, insomnia, hallucination, anxiety, fear, confusion, etc. The patient also experiences difficulty swallowing, superfluity of salivation, struggle in swallowing water, and hyperactivity.

 Treatment
